The Energy of Spring (Wood Element)

Spring is a time of cleansing, detox, and letting go of things that no longer serve us to make space for new ideas and growth. it is the expressive, youthful, sexual energy that is within all of us. if this energy is out of balance you will feel stagnant, jealous, angry. Liver and Gallbladder are the organs associated with this energy as well as a specific group of musculature. By understanding the movement of this energy we can maintain balance within our bodies to prevent illness, injury and stagnation.

This workshop encompasses a holistic approach to healing and connects body, mind and spirit. Your body is a sophisticated machine that has an amazing ability to heal itself if we can get out of its way. This workshop will teach you how to activate the body's own innate healing system. When your energy is only operating at 50%, you are only healing at 50%.

In this specialized yoga session we will use Traditional Chinese Medicine theory (TCM) and the psychology of the chakras which encompasses the energy body, the physical body and the mind to identify energy blockages that develop through out life and prevent us from meeting our goals and truest potential.

We will use intention, movement, meditation, mantras, visualization and bio-energetics and kinesiology techniques to find balance and connection of mind, body and spirit.

You will leave this workshop feeling balanced, focused and energized and with a better outlook on all aspects of your life and and the world around you.

"The body is the vehicle, consciousness the driver.

Yoga is the royal road, and the chakras are the map.” ~ Anodea Judith

Chakras are the gateways between the inner and outer worlds. The chakra system provides the architecture of the soul that brings spirit and body into union, the true meaning of yoga. This 8 week Chakra Yoga Series with Lisa focuses on the chakras through yoga, and includes:

How to diagnose excess and deficient chakras

Ways of addressing these imbalances through yoga practice and other techniques, including chakra-based Sun Salutations

How to integrate the principles and energy of each chakra into the poses for a comprehensive chakra focus

Learn to bring this profound formula for wholeness into your yoga classes. Working with the postures, pranayama, mudras, sounds, and bioenergetic techniques and meditation.

In this series students will learn asanas through the lens of the chakra system. What postures do we use to open, stimulate, or relax various chakras? How do we read the body to understand the functioning of the chakras within? How do we combine opposites, such as opening and closing, holding and releasing, charging and discharging, to pump energy through the whole body-mind system? How do we incorporate breath, mantra and mudras into our chakra practice? How do we access and strengthen the core?

The chakras represent the architecture of the human soul. As meeting points between mind and body, spirit and matter, the chakras form the yoke of yoga. As portals between the worlds, the chakras are the seven windows to the soul that connect the inner world with the outer.

Yoga is the spiritual language that opens these centers and brings us to the core consciousness of the divine within. Chakras are modulators of subtle energy and the goal is to free the prana to travel fully through the whole body: grounding your first chakra and rising through the core to the infinite consciousness of the crown.

You will learn sun salute variations for each chakra, along with yoga and bioenergetic exercises for each chakra, along with chakra philosophy, pranayama, mantras, guided meditation and more.

These 2 and 3 hour workshops are designed tp introduce Touch For Health as energy medicine, You will learn how the body has an innate ability to heal itself and how we can use muscle testing as a bio feedback method to determine where stimuli cause stress in the body's energy system, We will identify how our body stores information in its seven energy centres throughout our life as well as the its developmental stages, and how a less than optimal environment can create blocks in our system. We will discuss the concepts of bio chemical, emotional, and structural aspects of the body and how they operate and affect each other as a whole. Students will observe a full 14 muscle balance demonstration and have a chance to practice and learn these techniques. Students will gain knowledge and handful of tools and techniques to energy balance themselves as well as friends and family. This workshop is an introductory session for the Touch For Health Certification Program scheduled:

Partner-Buddy-Friend Yoga

Friends, BFFs, Couples, Acquaintances. This workshop is for anyone. One of the fundamental values of a relationship is connection.
The basic definition of yoga, coincidentally, means union. Relationships, much like yoga, are a practice that constantly unfolds before our eyes. We learn, we change and we grow.

It is when the mind, body and spirit unite that we feel this progression within both yoga and our relationship. To deepen our practices in both, we must open our minds to new feelings, thoughts, and actions.

In a modern world where we are so technologically based, it is extra important that we continue to have true, human-based connections, such as the essence of touch. Grab your loved one, a friend, invite someone you would like to get to know. Partner yoga moves to deepen the connection and relationship between two people as well as a sense of safety, trust, laughter and playfulness.

Join Lisa & Teddi Saturday December 29th from 11:00 am to 1:45 pm for an afternoon of fun, laughter, deep stretching and pure bliss. We will move through basic yoga poses together with a partner as we explore and balance all of our energy centres. After stretching we will bliss out with partner massage and a beautiful guided meditation themed around building and strengthening your relationship with both yourself, your partner and all of your relationships.

This is an unheated class.

No yoga experience is necessary.

You will leave this workshop feeling open, balanced, connected, grateful, wholehearted and relaxed.
